What to do on Valentine's day? Ft. Missy Bonbon

7:56 am

So here comes one of the most awaited days, and perhaps dreaded at the same time, by millions of people: Valentine's day. A day where you'll see the streets filled with either hearts or hammers, if you know what I mean. Regardless of what your relationship status is, how will you survive Valentine's day? Here are some of my tips for both taken and single hearts today!

Surprise your lover
Personally, I hate surprises but unexpected gifts and such will always be a plus points if you want to impress your other half, even if he/she already made it clear not to do such a thing. Exerting effort can build rapport in your relationship but be mindful of the way you choose to surprise him/her as it can make or break your bond.

Surprises doesn't only revolve around material gifts, you don't have to buy the most expensive jewelry or whatever. You may take him/her out to a new place for lunch or you may even surprise him/her by doing his/her favorite hobby, or you could even drop by Missy Bon Bon and share a lovely cake for a lovely afternoon. Their heart-shaped cakes start from P350.00!
Give compliments
Actually, you should always be do this... A simple, "You look good today!" can lift up your lover's mood. Be observant of the ways he/she presents himself/herself to you and compliment his/her effort. Sometimes, the right words are more than enough to keep a good relationship. If you, indeed, love him/her, don't hesitate to say it but if you're too shy, well, write it down on a chocolate cake!

This is where things get real. Let's be honest, some people will totally get laid tonight, some won't. Always come to a mutual agreement before you do something crazy. Do not force him/her in to doing something he/she doesn't want. Respect is the most important thing that you need to observe. It is by respecting each other's decision and setting boundaries, you can keep the mystery in your relationship. Be patient, be respectful.
1 Corithians 13:4-7
"4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Personally, I do not support premarital s**, but for the sake of information, I thought of including this.

Surround yourself with people you love
Do not be fretful if you haven't found your perfect match, you'll never know he/she's just right around the corner, so surround yourself with your family and friends. Who knows, the perfect person for you is a friend of a friend of a friend! Just like these cakes, they all have found a perfect match!
Treat yourself, enjoy your life!
You can never love someone else if you don't even love yourself, that's a rule of thumb. So treat yourself to a shopping spree! Head over to a local spa and pamper yourself. Cut your cares away by giving yourself a new hairdo. Today is about you, GIRL (or boy, if you're reading this). You have to tell the world how you enjoy your single life.
Yes, you may not have someone else beside you right now but do not be bitter. I know how it feels seeing couple being all lovey-dovey and stuff but, please, keep the reaction. 3 things that you must do to stay away from being bitter: Be considerate, be mature, and of course, be sweet. If all else fail, grab a slice of these 3 delicious cakes from Missy Bon Bon!
And there you have it! 3 ways you can survive Valentine's day regardless of your relationship status. How will you choose to spend V-daytoday?
