Make Your Own Havaianas 20145:46 pm
"As a highlight for the ninth year of this event, a 200-year old tradition from Brazil was the inspiration behind this year’s commemorative pair featuring colorful Bonfims -- Brazilian wish ribbons that are worn for good luck. The print wishes every wearer Alegria, Diversao, Empolgacao, Euforia, and Felicidade or Joy, Amusement, Excitement, Euphoria and Bliss – true to the Havaianas always summer spirit" -Spruce
Few nights ago, Spruce hand-delivered to me an invitation to the First Dibs event, I was really awed by the act. They handed me a huge box and wondered how an invitation card could be this big, just to find out that they also sent me a mardi gras headdress! It then gave me an idea that Carnaval Rio de Janeiro would somehow be the theme this year - the biggest carnival parade in the world.
This year, Havaianas is going back to its Brazilian roots and letting Philippines have a glance of its culture. When I went inside the spruce store for the First Dibs Event, I literally felt I was part of the Carnaval - Splashes of vibrant colors, festive vibe, lively music, and a group of happy people to escort you.
It won't feel like Carnaval without the Mardi Gras headdress! I don't usually get to wear one, so I felt the need of wearing the headdress while I was picking my Havaianas pair. For my outfit, it'll be on a separate post to be published tomorrow.Visit www.myoh.havaianasphilippines.com for more details. Drop by Spruce, Limketkai Center from May 15-20, 2014 to customize your own pair!
